Music Education
Music Education PhilosophyAs an experienced music educator, Christopher Wyton teaches students as young as five or as old as 75, and encourages them to pursue their own unique goals and path in regards to the guitar, whether it is preparing for conservatory auditions, exploring a hobby or playing in a band. Wyton teaches all styes of guitar including: electric, steel, nylon guitar and bass guitar, in a variety of genres.
Christopher will introduce learning materials that will increase a student’s awareness to reach his or her own goals, with a solid foundation in proper technique. Students most often take music lessons for enjoyment and as a past time and therefore a student's enjoyment from playing music is perhaps the most important part of his teaching. "It is my purpose in life to teach others and allow them the opportunity to discover and pursue their passion for music as I did when I was growing up." With the emphasis on testing and the cutbacks in music education in schools, Wyton believes that a comprehensive education is inclusive of the arts and that all students should have the opportunity to pursue their passions in music, not only to improve their education holistically but to enrich their lives and broaden their emotional perspectives.
